tragedy at 18 park street

guys and gals this is my tribute to the victims of the fire at stephen's court..

The soul of the city
yeah,that's Park Street..
folks here are strong,
will strong as concrete..

Millions come here everyday
they party ,enjoy and make hay..
Trincas and Tantra's define the place
you got u few bucks,u can hit the base..

But a disaster struck that fateful day
A court named stephens came ablaze..
Flames coming out of windows and doors,
Trapped poor souls,screaming till their lungs sore..

Media came and created a hysteria,
showed us images of people in paranoia,
the firemen were non to be found..
even there were no officials around.

People inside were trapped in hell..
With no fire prevention in that building,for them to avail..
so,they fought against the blazing smoke and heat..
just trying their best to stay on their trembling feet.

Many jumped from the windows,sum 5 storey high,
trying to evade death from which they couldn't hide..

People running,panicking,falling..
summoning the name whom they pray..
they try to keep their cool,
as to a blazing inferno,they fall prey..

I take my time out..
to write these lines..
in memory of those ..
who tragically lost their lives..

dedicated to all those unfortunate victims of 18th park street..and Sourav Barik..a guy whom i barely knew..but very close to heart..rest in peace..
